Frequently asked questions

Billing, links, QR codes, and what changed in the 2026 rebuild. If your question is not here, the support page reaches a person.

Billing

Plans, charges and refunds.

Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?
Yes. You can change plan whenever you like from Billing in your dashboard, and the change takes effect immediately. Moving up is prorated by Stripe, so you only pay the difference for the rest of the period.
How will I be charged?
You are charged at the beginning of each period automatically, until you cancel. Monthly plans renew every month and yearly plans every twelve months, on the date you first subscribed.
How do refunds work?
On request we refund all upcoming periods at the moment you ask. On a monthly plan we stop charging you at the end of the current billing period. On a yearly plan we refund the remaining months.
How do I close my account?
Ask us through the support page and we will close it. Your subscription is cancelled and we remove your data from our servers — your links, your click history and everything associated with them. Your short URLs stop resolving once that happens, so redirect or replace anything still in circulation first.

Links

The short URLs themselves.

Do my existing short links still work?
Yes. Every link created before the rebuild resolves exactly as it did, on the same URL, with its click history intact. Nothing you have printed or shared needs reissuing.
Can I change where a link points after I have shared it?
Yes. Edit the destination and the short URL stays the same, which is the main reason to use one on printed material. The change is live within seconds.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on the Growth and Team plans. Add a subdomain you own — links.yourdomain.com, go.yourdomain.com — point one CNAME at us, and your short links use it instead of postmylink.com. A bare domain will not work, because pointing it at us would take your website down.
Can I password-protect a link?
Yes. Visitors are asked for the password before the redirect runs, and the click is only counted once they are through.

QR codes

Codes that outlive the thing they point at.

Are the QR codes trackable?
Yes. A QR code points at one of your short links, so scans appear in your click statistics like any other traffic, broken down the same way.
Can I change where a QR code points after it is printed?
Yes, and this is the point of them. The code encodes the short link, not the destination, so editing the destination redirects every existing printed code. The image itself never changes.
What can I download?
SVG and PNG. SVG is the one to send a printer, because it stays sharp at any size.

The rebuild

What changed in 2026, and what did not.

What happened to bio pages?
Bio pages are not part of PostMyLink any more. Existing short links and QR codes are unaffected — only the bio page feature was retired. If you need one, a dedicated link-in-bio service will serve you better than we did.
What happened to tracking pixels?
Retargeting pixels on redirects are no longer supported. Click statistics — referrers, countries, devices, over time — are built in and need no pixel, and you can export the raw data as CSV to load into whatever you use for attribution.
Is there still an affiliate programme?
Not at the moment. If you were an affiliate and have a balance outstanding, get in touch through the support page and we will settle it.
Is there an API?
Yes, and it is unchanged. The same endpoints, the same Bearer authentication and the same JSON shapes as before, so existing integrations and Zapier connections keep working without edits.

Still stuck?

Support goes to a person, not a queue. Tell us the short link and what you expected to happen, and we will tell you what we see.
